Thousands of people came to Salem for a budget rally at the Capitol called, “Rally For a Better Way”.
The focus was on pursuing an alternative, or “better” way of balancing the state budget, instead of relying soley on budget cuts.
Karen Miller, an organizer for the rally, commented on the event, and KBOO’s Sarina Fong spoke with Tara Murphy, the member coordinator for Working America.
