California Department of Education Issued Guidelines on FAIR Education Act

The California Department of Education today issued guidelines on a new law requiring schools to adopt more inclusive history and social studies curricula.  The law, known as the FAIR Education Act, will integrate age-appropriate information about the history of the gay and lesbian civil rights movement, as well as the disabled rights and minority rights movements.  KBOO’s Jenka Soderberg spoke with Rebekah Orr with Equality California about the new law and its opponents.
