Interview with Maeve Z and cast of Icarus Paradox this week on Transpositive PDX
On this week’s Transpositive PDX we bring you a two-part program.
In the first half, we sit down with the performers of The Icarus Paradox and Omission, two original productions being staged this weekend at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem. We’ll hear from cast members as well as playwright Maeve Z, who brings fresh vision and voice to these powerful works of theater.
In the second half of the show, co-hosts Sheila and Nicolette join us for a conversation about current events in the transgender community. We’ll discuss how we can support transgender athletes, and how trans people and allies are fighting back against the escalating political attacks and efforts to diminish transgender rights in the United States.
