KBOO Community Radio 90.7 FM
This Friday on Radiozine, host Emma Lugo brings you an in-depth conversation with Jennifer and Rebecca from Fòs Feminista, a global feminist alliance working at the intersection of reproductive justice, gender justice, and bodily autonomy.
Fòs Feminista is a transnational alliance formed in 2021 through the merger of multiple feminist organizations, bringing together movements across the Global South to confront interconnected systems of oppression — including economic injustice, criminalization, racism, patriarchy, and rising authoritarianism. Their work centers women, girls, trans people, and gender-diverse communities, with a focus on community-led leadership and cross-border solidarity.
In this interview, we explore what reproductive justice means beyond borders and binaries, how global attacks on abortion and LGBTQ+ rights are deeply connected, and what trans-inclusive, justice-centered reproductive healthcare can look like in practice. Jennifer and Rebecca also discuss how Fòs Feminista supports grassroots partners facing criminalization and political backlash, the role of youth-led feminist organizing, and where they are finding hope amid mounting global challenges.
