Soil Quality Passes Tests in NE Portland
The jury’s still out on air quality in Portland.
However, according to test results announced Wednesday, adults and children in North and East Portland are not in imminent danger of health ramifications from inhaling carcinogenic heavy metals in the soil.
Lynne Saxton, Director of the Oregon Health Authority, spoke at a media briefing this week, which was followed by a more in-depth breakdown from experts.
According to the DEQ, Multnomah County Health Department and Oregon Health Authority, Portland residents will have to wait until next week to hear about the air quality test results.
