Curley Coldiron & His Circle C Boys provide the early morning energy and the title for this week’s episode of Swing’n’Country - "Come On - Get Up!" I can still hear my mother’s voice yelling at teen-aged me with a similar message. There’s more 1950’s music later in the show, including a set featuring Jumpin’ Bill Carlisle and Moon Mullican, by request.
There’s much more variety in the rest of the show with music from Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Linda Ronstadt, Pam Tillis, Emmylou Harris, Dawn Sears, and Reba McEntire "I’m a Survivor." On the other hand, there’s also music from Ray Price, Ian Tyson, Jim Reeves, Ray Charles & Hank Williams Jr., Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, and Dean Martin "Singing the Blues." Plus a bonus airing of the Bellamy Brothers "Old Hippie III" (2007) near the end of the show. I wish they’d make another update so’s I could see how I compare.
