Transpositive PDX – Tuesday, September 2nd at 6pm on KBOO 90.7FM
This week on Transpositive PDX we will be remembering Elisa Rae Shupe. Elisa was the first person in Oregon to legally obtain non-binary identity documents, a milestone that helped bring visibility to transgender and non-binary communities.
Elisa’s life was complex—she later detransitioned, became a social media influencer, and ultimately retransitioned before her passing by suicide. On this week’s program, we will talk aout Elisa’s legacy while also exploring the nuanced issues her story raises for our community.
Join hosts Emma, Sheila, Nicolette, and Jean for a respectful and thoughtful conversation about Elisa’s impact, the challenges she faced, and the broader significance of her life and advocacy.
Tune in Tuesday, September 2nd at 6:00pm on KBOO Community Radio, 90.7FM in Portland and streaming online at kboo.fm.
